Grand Parade through Keighley
Keighley Lions took part in the parade this year re-using the fancy dress costumes from District 105C Convention in Harrogate earlier this year.
The theme was Millennium Bugs, and the link was the connection to Information Technology and 'Lions on the Internet'
We didn't win the Fancy Dress, or get our picture in the Keighley News, due, according to the photographer, the problem with being all in black. Still whilst in the parade we noticed that the float behind had kids dressed in Keighley Lion sponsored football strip (Long Lee Juniors) and the Scout Band playing during the parade were supporting their drums on harnesses supplied by Keighley Lions, so we got a satisfying buzz out of it.
We will also be supporting the Keighley Festival with the Street Piano, Treasure Island and Guide Dogs Stalls on June 11th.
